They’re the ones that operate the day to day minutiae of your business, and when you have a great team you should be doing all you can to keep them around. Millenials, the largest generation currently working, have proven to be job-hoppers who tend to look around for the best positions with the highest pay. How can you convince them to stick around?

For one thing, it’s important to think long-term. Sometimes it’s impossible to increase your employees’ compensation, but that just means that you should remind them that someday it will be possible. Your team should have a concrete idea of where you see your business going. If they understand what you’re trying to do and are excited about it, they’re much more likely to stick around. That said, you must compensate them fairly. A good benefits package will also go a long way, as will perks like a great work environment and plentiful sick days and paid vacations.
